How do I apply?

Transitional Living Services*

GA/RYSE can assist with basic household startup cost and setup including rental and utility deposits, bedroom suite, dining room furniture and household items, up to a specified amount.

Emergency Assistance*

The Georgia GA/RYSE program can provide rental assistance for up to 3 months, utility and rental deposits, food services, and coaching assistance with an approved living plan. Emergency assistance is provided on a temporary basis.

* Requires Prior Approval From A Specialist, As Funds Are Available

Am I eligible?

Below are the requirements for receiving housing support, depending on your age, whether you're a post secondary student, as well as if you're "in care" or "out of care.

In care:

  • Case Manager will provide youth with housing services through an approved placement for youth in care.
  • Transitional Living Services  (17-21)

out of care:

  • Emergency Assistance (former foster youth 18-21) *youth who are at risk of being homeless.
  • Transitional Living Services (18-21)

Housing Assistance For Post-Secondary Students

In Care:

  • Room and Board
  • Case Manager will provide youth with temporary housing during holiday breaks

out of care:

  • Room and Board
  • Temporary placement during holiday breaks
  • Rental reimbursement up to $300 per month for students living off campus in an apartment with a signed approved lease agreement in student’s name.
